Riddell SpeedFlex ND6 Youth Football Helmet – Next-Generation Protection for Young Athletes

The Riddell SpeedFlex ND6 is Riddell’s most advanced youth football helmet ever engineered. Purpose-built for youth players through junior high school, it delivers superior impact management, a secure customizable fit, and compliance with the new NOCSAE ND006 youth helmet performance standard—ahead of the September 1, 2027 effective date.

Youth players aren’t just smaller—they’re still developing. The SpeedFlex ND6 is designed specifically for them, helping reduce the transfer of impact force to the head and neck while providing the confidence young athletes need on the field.

Key Features of the Riddell SpeedFlex ND6 Youth Helmet

• Riddell SpeedFlex ND6 Youth Football Helmet Advanced Energy Management Materials
The liner system uses an enhanced urethane formula co-developed with BASF. This optimizes protective performance and manages impact energy more effectively than previous designs.
• The Flex System
Proprietary flexibility is engineered into the shell, face mask, and face mask attachment system with hinge clips. This innovative design absorbs impact at multiple points and helps reduce force transfer to the athlete—critical for developing youth players.
• Air Fit Liner System
Inflatable back, neck, and side bladders combined with fully inflatable jaw pads allow precise, customizable adjustments. Players get a secure, personalized fit that stays locked in all season long.
• CAM•LOC™ Retention System
Developed with elite player feedback, this chin strap attachment system enables quick, efficient adjustments for reliable security without struggle.
• Additional Performance Features
Tru-Curve Liner System for enhanced comfort and coverage, Occipital Lock for improved stability, Patented Side Impact Protection (PSIP), All-Points Quick Release™ for fast facemask removal, and Quick Change Liner Attachment System for easy maintenance.
