Riddell Axiom Varsity Football Helmet – The Most Advanced Helmet Platform for Today’s Athletes

Step onto the field with confidence in the Riddell Axiom Varsity Football Helmet, Riddell’s most advanced head protection system engineered for varsity and high-level players. Combining decades of athlete protection expertise with cutting-edge technology, the Axiom delivers a personalized fit, superior impact response, panoramic vision, and smart helmet insights—without requiring a custom 3D head scan.

Riddell Axiom Varsity Football Helmet Personalized Fit Inspired by Tru-Fit Technology
The Riddell Axiom Varsity Football Helmet uses Riddell’s extensive database of thousands of Tru-Fit head scans paired with your head circumference to select the optimal shell size and energy-management liner components. The signature combination of interior liner pads creates a secure, comfortable, Tru-Fit-like feel right out of the box. No traditional fitting foams or air adjustments needed—just precise protection that stays locked in.

Expanded Flex System for Superior Impact Response
Flex panels integrated into the front, sides, and back of the polycarbonate shell work together with the unique face mask attachment to improve energy management and reduce force transfer. This Surround/Expanded Flex System is an evolution of Riddell’s proven flexible shell technology, delivering better impact response on every play.

Tru-View™ Frontal Protection System & Factory-Installed Optically Correct Visor
The Riddell Axiom Varsity Football Helmet reimagines frontal protection by removing the traditional top bar of the face mask. This design allows more energy-managing material, greater flexibility, and a panoramic elliptical view of the field. Every Axiom Varsity comes standard with a factory-installed optically correct visor for clear vision and added eye protection.

InSite Smart Helmet Technology (Standard)
Riddell Axiom Varsity Football Helmet is the first football helmet platform to come standard with Riddell’s InSite Smart Helmet Technology. Sensors collect impact data (location, load, intensity, and volume). When paired with an optional InSite Analytics subscription, coaches and trainers receive automated reports to help adjust practice plans, improve performance, and manage head impact exposure.

Additional Performance Features

• Cam·Loc™ Retention System for fast, secure chinstrap adjustments
• All-Points Quick Release™ face mask hardware for easy removal
• Advanced urethane liner materials (co-developed with BASF) for optimized protection
• Lightweight, streamlined design that supports mobility and comfort through four quarters
• Available in multiple sizes based on head circumference (use Riddell sizing chart for best fit)
